FERMUN 2026
The 2026 Ferney Voltaire Model United Nations conference held at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva was a significant success, both academically and organisationally.
The English National Programme was represented by 198 students who undertook a variety of roles.
Hosting the conference at the ILO headquarters provided participants with a unique and authentic diplomatic environment, enhancing the realism of debates and deepening participants’ understanding of international labour issues and multilateral cooperation.
Debates were substantive, well-structured, and focused on realistic policy solutions. Committees demonstrated effective collaboration, with resolutions that were practical, innovative, and aligned with the ILO’s core values.
Overall, the MUN conference at the ILO in Geneva successfully combined academic rigour with real-world relevance, making it a highly rewarding experience for all English National Programme participants and a model for future conferences.
