History and Geography examinations
Two examinations are prepared in History-Geography, one at the end of Collège, one at the end of Lycée.
- The international option of the brevet is taken at the end of 3ème; History-Geography and English are an integral part of the 'brevet à option internationale'.
- The international option of the 'baccalauréat' is taken at the end of 'terminale'; History-Geography and English are an integral and important part.
Both of these examinations are commonly referred to by the abbreviation BOI (or OIB). This abbreviation is often used to distinguish bilingual History-Geography from normal History-Geography which is taught entirely in French.
The examinations (the ‘brevet’ and the ‘baccalauréat’) of which history-geography is an integral part are the French state examinations which are taken by all pupils in the school.
GCSE Statistics is taken at the end of troisième.
GSCE Mathematics is taken at the end of seconde.
AS Mathematics is taken at the end of première.
